The ‘outstanding’ work of Birmingham Children’s Hospital will be showcased to a national audience once again in October when the final two episodes of its popular documentary series will air.
The ninth and tenth instalments of the Inside Birmingham Children’s Hospital will be broadcast on More4 at 10pm on Wednesday 4 and 11 October.
It tells the inspirational stories of many children, young people and their families and shows the expertise of the teams that care for them.
More than eight million viewers tuned in last summer to the first eight episodes of the series, which offered a glimpse into life at the specialist paediatric hospital that welcomes around 100,000 patients each year.
Sarah-Jane Marsh, Chief Executive of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“We were thrilled to open our doors to so many viewers last summer – offering a unique look at the work of our expert teams and the inspirational young people and families we care for. No two days are ever the same and it really was a privilege to share some of the wonderful stories that happen all-year round.
“Everyone here is delighted that the final two episodes are now set to be aired to the nation. We can’t wait.”
These latest episodes will follow new families who are determined to push through, despite the big unknowns ahead, or whose lives have been changed forever after a visit to the Children’s Hospital.
More4 is available on Virgin (channel 147), Sky (channel 138) and Freeview (channel 14).
