In 2010 my daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and referred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where the care she received was absolutely outstanding.
The hospital became our home for the next 9 years, with months and weeks spent not only on the oncology wards but also in most other wards.
We received support from doctors, nurses, the nutritional department, psychology services, educational services, radiotherapy, surgical staff, palliative care staff the list is endless.
Throughout her treatment there was never anywhere else we wanted our daughter to be treated and she always felt so comfortable and well cared for during her stays.
In Isabella’s memory, I hope to continue to be her voice for other children, to ensure they receive the same standard of care that she did for all those years.
