Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is inviting members of the public to attend its second Annual General Meeting on Thursday 19 July (12pm until 1pm), after its first full year as a united organisation.
The Trust was launched on 1 February 2017, combining the specialist knowledge and expertise of Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Women’s Hospital.
This year’s AGM will be held in the Lecture Theatre at the main Children’s Hospital site on Steelhouse Lane and is open to anyone with an interest in the Trust’s activities.
The event will feature presentations from the Chairman, Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, and Chief Executive, Sarah-Jane Marsh, who will reflect on the past 12 months in the first full year of the integrated Trust.
Along with looking back at the past year’s performance, key developments, achievements and finances, there will also be information provided on future plans for the Trust as it continues to put family-centred care at the forefront for Birmingham and the wider region for years to come.
There will also be the opportunity for attendees to find out more about the Birmingham and Solihull United Maternity and Newborn Partnership (Bump), of which the Trust is a lead partner, as it works towards improving maternity experiences for expectant families across Birmingham and Solihull.
Anyone who would like to attend is asked to register in advance, which can be done online via the Trust website: www.bwc.nhs.uk/agm. The dedicated webpage also includes details on parking, directions to the venue and refreshments.
