Scan appointments at other locations in the community
As per government guidelines we are following the hands, face, space and test guidelines, this does mean we have to restrict access to protect you and your family.
From Monday 7 June we will be allowing one partner to attend appointments at the majority of our community dating scan venues.
For those sites that are still unable to accept a partner due to their own individual venue assessments, virtual scan appointments will be made available.
A few days prior to the scan appointment a member of the team will contact you to where you will be triaged, this includes a discussion of any signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and how to access lateral flow testing.
If you would like your partner to attend your appointment with you, please follow the instructions the below:
1. Nominate ONE person who you wish to accompany you, children cannot be accommodated and will not be permitted to enter.
2. Check with your nominated person that they have no COVID symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone who have symptoms in the previous 10 days..
3. In order for your nominated person to be permitted onto the premises, they must have had a negative COVID-19 lateral flow test in the previous 24 hours and show this test result. The result of this test must be shown to the community scan team on entering the premises. You can produce your plastic test strip in a clear sealed bag, if you have been able to do a home test. If you have visited a testing centre the result will either be emailed or sent as a text, or may be sent directly to the test and trace app.
4. It is the responsibility of the individual to arrange a test themselves at a local testing centre or to obtain a free self-test kit from your local pharmacy.
Please ensure that the nominated individual remains in your home social bubble and does not mix with others unnecessarily, to reduce the risk of infection. When at your appointment you must maintain social distancing of 2 metres with staff or other patients or partners.
If you feel you have extenuating circumstances that place you outside of these recommendations please speak to a member of staff caring for you, who can signpost you to a member of the senior midwifery/nursing team for consideration.
