After qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG, Sue’s experience across the NHS at a senior level spans twenty years, developing strategy and governance and ensuring that patient and staff voices are heard. She has worked in various roles including as a finance director for more than ten years.
In 2013 Sue took the position of Chief Executive at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust where she led on a transformation programme. She was responsible for an organisation of more than 3000 staff, across 65 sites in five counties. She has also managed organisational change including the merger of three organisations and has a track record of financial delivery, delivering improved performance reporting and monitoring systems and collaboration across a number of organisations.
She also holds a number of other roles, including Chair of Coventry College; Chair of the national Ambulance Staff Charity and Chair of Safeline.
Now a qualified coach and mentor, she is passionate about supporting the individuals' teams and organisations she works with to achieve their potential.
