A Day in the Life of Steve Pryce, Mechanical Team – Birmingham Women’s Hospital Estates

What is your team’s name and role within the team?

I am a member of the Mechanical Team based at the Women’s Hospital Estates department. There are four of us in the team working for Vital Services.

 

How would you describe a typical day/ shift?

Our work is busy and exciting. It brings us into contact with staff, patients and visitors across the hospital and it is a real privilege to work as part of the service.

 

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I like that our role varies from day to day and no two days are the same.

 

What achievement are you most proud of?

I am really proud to work at the Women’s Hospital in particular as it is also where my sons were born.

 

Not a lot of people know this but……

I am sixty-two years old and people can’t really believe it (they think I am seventy)!
