David Hobin

Consultant Paediatric Oncologist

Dr Hobin looks after children and teenagers with a wide variety of solid tumours outside of the brain or spinal cord and is part of the “Solid Tumour Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)”. Dr Hobin cares for patients through both inpatient and outpatient services. Dr Hobin’s principal areas of interest are in Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) Oncology and Palliative care. He is currently the Chair of the national professional group for TYA oncology – TYAC.

Dr Hobin is our medical lead for Paediatric Palliative Care, having lead the oncology palliative care team for the past 4 years in addition to being the Clinical Lead for the oncology service.

Dr Hobin is the Principal Investigator for a number of Phase III trials currently open in the department including trials for the treatment of Neuroblastoma, Sarcoma and Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
