Birmingham Children’s Hospital
This is your place to find one of Britain’s leading specialist Paediatric centres, where expert care is given to more than 90,000 children and young people every year.
We’re proud to deliver core services for our local community – the UK’s second city and the youngest in Europe – and specialist national services that are respected worldwide, including:
- One of the largest Children's Cancer Centres in the UK and one of busiest congenital Cardiac Surgery Units in the country, performing more than 400 open heart operations annually.
- Expertise in Children’s Intensive Care and foetal medicine – recognised as some of the most advanced care available.
- UK's premier paediatric liver unit and one of the busiest in the world, delivering over 1,000 paediatric liver transplants.

Mental Health Services
Our Division of Mental Health Services is a unique and innovative community and inpatient health partnership that offers comprehensive mental health assessment and treatment pathways for young people aged 0-25.
We are an integral part of BWC and we are proud to be the first service of its kind both nationally and internationally.
Our Parkview Clinic is the regional inpatient unit for child and adolescent mental health services.
Our services span five main sites across the city, including three community hubs, a city centre base and referral management centre, and our Parkview Clinic (the headquarters for the divisional management team).
