The team welcome urgent referrals particularly for the following conditions:
- Upper limb birth injury including obstetric brachial plexus palsy
- Small skin lesions i.e. extra digits on stalks (as well as pre-auricular skin tags) which are potentially suitable for excision under local anaesthetic preferably before the baby is six weeks old
- All hand trauma will be seen at the next Hand Trauma Clinic (these clinics are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons)
- Neonatal upper limb ischaemia – any neonate born with vascular compromise of a limb associated with a skin lesion and swelling should be referred immediately for consideration of an urgent fasciotomy
