Mr Ingo Jester
Consultant Paediatric Surgeon
Consultant paediatric surgeon moved to Birmingham Children’s Hospital in 2008; he has previously worked as a consultant in Germany and the Netherlands. His special interests are laparoscopy, neonatal surgery and especially congenital diaphragmatic hernias and oesophageal atresia, surgical oncology and surgery for the lower GI tract. Together with Mr Oli Gee he runs a specialist clinic in lower GI problems this includes managing ano-rectal malformations, Hirschsprung’s disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. He also undertakes non-transplant surgery for intestinal failure.
