Placements and work experience
Student placements
We offer physiotherapy clinical placements to second and third-year undergraduate BSc and MSc students from Birmingham University. Placements usually last between four and six weeks throughout the year. We also offer elective placements which usually last between one and four weeks.
Apprenticeship placements
As we are a leading centre in teaching and training we also offer apprenticeship placements within our Therapy Assistant team and our Admin and Clerical team. The apprenticeships allow the apprentices to study an NVQ Level 2 in either Clinical Healthcare Support (15 months) or Business and Administration (12 months) as well as gaining relevant work experience within the department.

Work experience
If you are interested in a career in Physiotherapy then we offer a one-day work experience observing various teams within physiotherapy. Please contact the work experience team at bwc.aspire@nhs.net. Due to the specialist nature of our work, we can only offer work experience to those aged 16 years and over.
