Research and development
The West Midlands Regional Genetics Laboratory is engaged in a wide range of research and development projects in all areas of the department (Cancer Genomics, Haemato-oncology, Rare Diseases and Reproductive genomics). Translational developments are routinely carried out to improve the clinical utility, quality and efficiency of our patient testing pathways. Research projects are also undertaken with a variety of academic and commercial collaborators including the University of Birmingham.
