Dr Caroline Elizabeth Fox
Fetal and Maternal Medicine Consultant, Honorary Associate Professor, University of Birmingham (UoB).
Caroline has worked at the Trust for 16 years. She first worked as a Clinical Lecturer at University of Birmingham (UoB) and then carried out her sub-specialty training in maternal and fetal medicine. She has been a consultant at the Trust for the last seven years. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree and Master of Public Health postgraduate certificate from UoB.
Her research is mainly focused on maternal cardiac conditions and preterm birth. She is the Chief Investigator for a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) programme grant looking to reduce preterm birth in mother’s having their first baby. She is also on the trial steering committee for the NORACT and ABOVE randomised controlled trial.
Caroline works within Applied Health Research at UoB, including on the Patient Safety Research Collaborative. She provides clinical and academic supervision and training for resident doctors, as well as undergraduate, master's and PhD students.
