Dr Hari Krishnan
Consultant Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), our Children’s Hospital & Clinical Advisor to PICANet, Universities of Leicester and Leeds.
Hari has been a consultant in paediatric intensive care at our Children’s Hospital since 2014. He is currently chair of the clinical advisory group PICANet (Paediatric Intensive Care National Audit of UK/Eire), as well as a clinical advisor. He is a social media ambassador to Paediatric Critical Care Medicine Journal.
His research interests include data analytics and neurocritical care, which involves monitoring and treating children with severe brain conditions. He is currently leading a charity-funded project to investigate the use of a robotic device to monitor brain health.
Hari has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and is the lead author of the textbook ‘Challenging concepts in Paediatric Critical Care’. He has also spoken at many international conferences. He is the UK Chief Investigator of an NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) funded study called P-ICECAP. He also co-leads the NIHR Paediatric Critical Care Incubator.
He also leads the PICUJournalWatch website, co-leads the “PICCHub” app (funded by Paediatric Critical Care Society, UK) and is an active member of Paediatric Critical Care Society Study Group (PCCS-SG).
