Dr Jo Horton

Jo has worked at our Children’s Hospital for 16 years. She qualified as a Paediatric Clinical  Neuropsychologist in 2013 and a clinical psychologist in 2006. 
 
She has been involved in research examining the developmental profiles of children diagnosed with craniosynostosis, Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMD)  and epilepsy surgery; all of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. 
 
Alongside carrying out research, she has supervised and currently supervises Clinical Psychology Doctorate Research for courses in Birmingham, Nottingham and Liverpool. 
 
She is involved in several IMD and Neurology clinical trials hosted at the Children’s Hospital. 
 
Jo is a journal reviewer for the Journal of Neurorehabilitation, British Medical Journal and the Cleft Palate Craniofacial Journal.  She also holds an honorary position on the Children’s Epilepsy Surgery Services Research panel across the UK site
