Dr Pallavi Latthe

a head and shoulders picture of a womanConsultant Gynaecologist with special interest in Paediatric Adolescent Gynaecology and Urogynaecology, Honorary Associate Professor, University of Birmingham (UoB). 

Pallavi obtained her Medical Degree (Res) from the University of Birmingham. She has worked at the Trust for 16 years as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and as a gynaecologist since January 2024. 

At our Women’s Hospital she made a successful research programme in urogynaecology and has supervised MD, MSc, and PhD students with the UoB. 

She is the Chief Investigator for an adolescent gynaecology research project and a co-applicant on many successful National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) grants.

Current grants 

Action for Medical Research- 200k to study the feasibility of RCT of effectiveness of myoinositol in adolescent polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Co applicant on the NIHR funded C-POP study (qualitative study on colpocleisis in pelvic organ prolapse) 

Co-applicant on NIHR project - Female Genital Mutilation: a mixed-methods study exploring survivors’ and healthcare professionals’ views on the timing of deinfibulation (FGM Sister Study) with the Dept. of Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CI- Laura Jones) at the UoB.
