Children's Hospital to start final leg of Queen's Baton Relay

The Children’s Hospital will kick-start the final leg of the Queen’s Baton Relay as it makes its final journey to the opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games tomorrow (28/7).
The baton will be carried by Joan Hunter, a netball coach and a champion of grassroots sport in Birmingham who has encouraged women in sport to push boundaries for many years, on the last day of its 294 day journey.
It will be an early start with the baton setting off on a journey through the hospital, cheered on by staff and patients, at around 7.45am.
Joan and the baton will leave via the main entrance at around 8am.
BWC is inviting everyone to join us in giving it a great send off. If you’d like to join this important moment in the hospital’s history please gather outside the main entrance from 7.45am to make sure you get a good spot to wave the Baton off.
