Congratulations Cally, our latest DAISY winner
A huge well done to Cally Whittington, a nurse in our Paediatric Assessment Unit, who was one of our latest DAISY Award recipients.
She deservedly took the prize after a colleague got in touch to share a really touching nomination – full of ambition, bravery and compassion.
Cally has been supporting a young patient who has been an inpatient for some time and is expected to be with us into the future.
She has been by the side of the child and their family, doing lots to help them. From putting in place plans to take some time away from the ward with a change of scenery to arranging a special birthday party.
Her nomination told of how Mum describes Cally as an “angel”. Her colleagues also hold her a role model and “such an amazing team player”.
