Happy International Nurses Day

It's International Nurses Day today (Wednesday) and we're celebrating it to say a huge thank you to our wonderful nurses all across our Trust. The day is particularly special as it marks the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale - regarded as the founder of modern nursing.

Our Chief Officer for Nursing and Midwifery, Marion Harris, has put together a special tribute video to thank our nurses for rising to the enormous challenges that they have faced over the past year, and continue to face on a daily basis. To all of our nursing staff, nurses across the NHS and around the world, your bravery and compassion is an example to us all. We hope you have a fantastic day.

You can watch Marion's special video by clicking the video below.

Finally, our nurses and midwives, as well as some of the patients they have had the fortune to care for, have also been busy over the past couple of weeks, putting together a special joint video to honour both last week's International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses Day today. If you didn't manage to catch the premiere of that musical treat on social media yesterday, you can watch it below.
