Introducing Taurus: New Electronic Patient Record to go live this week (Thursday 15 May)

This Thursday (15 May) our Trust goes live with a new transformational Electronic Patient Record across our hospitals.
The programme to deliver this change is called Taurus and is an exciting transformation, which will enhance processes, improve data management and help us deliver even better care to our women, children and families.
As with any major change, our teams will be getting to grips with it, so we are asking for our patients and their families to bear with us over the coming days. This is just while colleagues get quickly up to speed with the new system and it shouldn't have an impact on the level of care you receive.
Steve Cumley, Chief Operating Officer, said: "We're pleased to be launching our new EPR, which will enhance our digital capacity and provide better and safer care to our patients. It will also allow our patients to interact with it directly in order to change appointments and stay abreast of their, or their child's, care needs.
"Like anything new, our colleagues will be getting used to the system, so we ask people are patient with us. However we're confident that patients should expect to receive the same high quality care they're used to while we get to grips with the new ways of working."
Your clinician will also be able to talk to you about MyChart BWC. This is a secure app which patients and their families can use on their computer, mobile or tablet to access parts of their health care record such as appointment times, test results and much more.
You can find more information about MyChart BWC on our dedicated pages.
