Lizzy is presented with her DAISY Award

One of our families took the time to share why Liz, who they described as a “truly exceptional health professional” was so deserving of a DAISY Award.

They first saw me in the saddest of circumstances, following the delivery of their stillborn son.

“Liz was so kind, caring and compassionate and she made the two days I got to spend with my son as comfortable as possible. She enabled me to make some especially important and cherished memories with him. I felt I could trust her entirely and felt able to go to her when I was struggling mentally.“

Liz’s support was unfailing and, later, she accompanied the family to every medical appointment when they became pregnant again.

“Without her, I'm not sure I would have made it through my terrible times. I think of her often and am always so impressed, inspired and truly touched by her kindness.

“We named our daughter after her, in honour of the incredibly huge role she played in our journey to parenthood

“She honestly deserves tremendous recognition and acknowledgement for her outstanding bereavement support work.”

Congratulations Liz for being so incredible.
