Maternity services launch dedicated COVID-19 hotline

Pregnancy and birth can be unsettling for women at the best of times, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the changes made to maternity care at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, we have set up a dedicated helpline to provide an additional source of support for women.

Our friendly midwives are on hand to answer any questions about your maternity care during COVID-19. Operated by midwives, the hotline will be available from Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm on 0121 335 8234.

The helpline is available for you to discuss changes we have made to the care we provide, to ensure your safety during pregnancy, birth and after you have had your baby. We can offer advice on what you can expect when coming in to our hospital. Our dedicated team is here to support you.

However, in the event of an emergency you should still call 999. For any concerns regarding your wellbeing or if you think that you are in labour you should call Maternity triage on 03000 201 201. To rearrange appointments or for queries relating to specific appointments, please call the Booking Office.
