New film puts the spotlight on the ‘family’ working on our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Birmingham Women’s Hospital is proud to be home to one of the biggest Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) of its type in the country. Our specialist team cares for more than 950 little ones each year – supporting their families throughout their journey.

A new short film has been produced featuring some of our dedicated NICU staff, who talk passionately about their roles and the unique bond they’re privileged to share with families and colleagues.

Speaking about the film, Amrat Mahal, Head of Neonatal Nursing, said:

“Working on NICU and being able to support families through every step of their baby’s neonatal journey is so special. We hope this shines through in our video and look forward to welcoming more people to join our team.

“Our message to anyone who sees the video and thinks that they might want to come and join us is to get in touch.”

If you’d like to find out more about opportunities available in our NICU unit, simply take a look at the NHS Jobs website. Our NICU team also offer visits to the unit, which offer the opportunity to find out more about their work. Anyone interested can book a visit at a time that suits by calling 0121 472 1377.
