Stories from around our Trust

You’ve Been Missed project still here to help as schools return

Last year our Forward Thinking Birmingham mental health service proudly began working alongside a number of partners across our city including Birmingham Education Partnership and Birmingham City Council on our #YouveBeenMissed campaign.

Since then our dedicated website section has been visited more than 18,000 times. This collaborative service has supported pupils, parents, carers and education professionals to help children and young people when they’ve returned to school – something that’s been made more challenging for some due to the uncertainty in the world due to COVID-19.

Positive response to our package of support for staff

A few weeks ago we became the first Trust in our NHS to offer a unique package of support for staff who experience baby loss, which includes periods of paid leave, as well as for colleagues who have a baby born prematurely.

A Day in the Life of the Children’s Hospital Linen Room team

We are a small team situated on the ground floor of the Children’s Hospital and are part of the Vital Services team. We have a dual purpose: a responsibility to keep all linen clean and to prevent dirty linen from contaminating patients, staff and the environment. Our team has a vast amount of experience ranging from three months to 22 years working for the Trust.
