Based at our Women’s Hospital, Oonagh was called out for her actions, which reflect our Trust values of being ambitious, brave and compassionate (ABC).

Working within the Early Pregnancy Unit and our Tommy’s Centre, Oonagh was recognised for the profound impact and exceptional support she provided to a patient during an incredibly difficult and emotional time. Her nomination described how she brought not only expert clinical knowledge, but kindness and humanity to her care.

Congratulations, Oonagh, on this very well-deserved recognition.

We would also like to highlight two exceptional finalists who embody our Trust values.

Nisha Rani, Senior Sister for Education in our KIDS/NTS service, was nominated by a colleague who wanted to highlight the positive transformation she has brought to her team.

Since stepping into the role, Nisha has shown leadership and dedication that have had a hugely positive impact on her colleagues.

She was described as brave in the way she approaches challenges, taking ownership of complex situations and making confident decisions that support the team and the wider service. She leads with honesty and fairness, creating an environment where staff feel safe to speak up, ask questions and seek support without hesitation.

Congratulations Nisha.

Our second finalist, Aimee Taylor, Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist, was recognised for consistently providing expert support to both patients and her colleagues.

Her nomination reflected her proactive and solution-focused approach, stepping in to manage complex situations and ensure patients received timely, safe and effective care. By taking initiative and working collaboratively across teams, she has made a real impact on our patients and families.
