Play
Play is very important for all children and play in our Children’s Hospital is an essential part of the treatment for our children and young people and has a key role in helping them feel better.
The Play Service
Our Play Service consists of a team of play specialists, play and youth workers and volunteers who provide educational and recreational support for children, young people and their families.
The team offer a wide variety of play-orientated activities and provide information for patients and families about their treatment.
We are also able to work with children and young people experiencing difficulties before admission and following discharge.
The Play and Admissions Centre
Our Play and Admissions Centre is at the heart of our play service. It's where most of our fun activities take place and is the first port of call for many children coming in for an operation.
