Claire Terry
Birmingham and Solihull Public Governor
Claire had previously been a Public Governor at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and was keen to continue in the Governor role in the integrated organisation. She hopes that Birmingham Women’s and Children’s will continue to build on its reputation for delivering world-class care for women, children and families.
Claire works as a Business Development Manager for international law firm Gowling WLG where she focuses on health, life sciences and public sector. Working with clients from both the public and private sectors, Claire advises teams of partners and senior lawyers on how they can most add value to their clients and targets. This has given her a fantastic insight into and knowledge of the NHS, health and life sciences sectors as well as opportunities to work with organisations like The King’s Fund and The London Transport Museum.
Claire said: “It is a real privilege to be a governor at the only dedicated women’s and children’s Trust in the UK and to have the opportunity to shape the future of care for families in Birmingham”.
