Our annual BWC Spirit Awards are back – time to start nominating

Our annual BWC Spirit Awards, supported by our Charity, are returning and we want to make this a wonderful celebration of our colleagues' achievements over the last year.
Last year we received almost 500 nominations right across our 13 categories, and we’re hoping to beat that total this time around. To do that we need your help.
This is your opportunity to give colleagues, both individuals and teams, the recognition they truly deserve by writing a short nomination to celebrate them.
You can nominate as many times as you like across all categories, to give our colleagues the opportunity of being at our fantastic awards ceremony on Friday 14 October at the city centre’s iconic Library of Birmingham.
It’s simple to nominate. Just fill in the short online form or complete one of the paper copies that will be available across our sites from later this week. Share as much detail as possible about your superstars who have lived our Trust values of being Ambitious, Brave and Compassionate; displaying their BWC Spirit to our women, children, families and colleagues.
The award categories are:
- Best Boss
- BWC Spirit
- Charity Champion
- Commitment to Diversity
- Moment of Magic
- Most Inspiring Colleague
- Outstanding Clinical Team
- Outstanding Support Team
- Research and Innovation
- Rising Star
- Service Improvement
- Unsung Hero
- Volunteer of the Year
We will also crown our 'Star of the Year', from all the winners of our coveted monthly prize over the previous 12 months and we’ll once again name a deserving recipient of our prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Every single person and team nominated will receive a special BWC Spirit Awards certificate. You only have a few weeks to make your nominations so please put aside some time to recognise your colleagues in the coming weeks.
Special thanks to our Charity who are supporting the awards again this year.
We don’t have long to go, so get your nominations in now.
