Meet the Children's Cancer Team
The Oncology and Haematology department is a designated principal treatment centre (PTC) for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers in children and young people.
It is one of the largest Children's Cancer Centres in the UK and sees over 260 new patients every year, making us one of the busiest centres in the country.
We have a large multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, health care assistants, ward clerks, nurse specialists, advanced nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, play therapists, dieticians, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals.
Our home in Waterfall House includes our Outpatients Department, which includes treatment rooms, a theatre/procedure room and daycare where the majority of outpatient-based chemotherapy/treatment will be given.
We also have our Ward 18, with 24 beds and a separate space for teenagers and young adults.
Our outstanding teams are by the side of our children and families all year round.
