There can be a lot of jargon related to disability and health conditions that some of us may not fully understand. We want all of our patients, families and visitors to feel comfortable using our services, regardless of their differences. Brain logo Neurodiversity Works  is an organisation that advocates for accessible opportunities for neurodivergent people. Organisations that are not inclusive of neurodiversity miss out on exceptional talent. They campaign for specialist internship and job programmes and against workplace discrimination, raise awareness of the adjustments neurodivergent people need to be provided, connect talent and entrepreneurs with opportunities, education and networks and provide greater visibility for neurodivergent talent.

 

 

AADDUK logo AADD-UK is a small, unfunded charity currently running support groups and help the ADHD online community. The main aims of AADD-UK are raising awareness of ADHD in adulthood, advancing the education of professionals and the public at a national and local level in the UK to ensure that all adults with ADHD regardless of age, gender, health, ethnicity, socio-economic status, and religion have fair and equitable access to health, social, employment, and other services as needed, and to promote and support research in the field of adult ADHD.

 

National Autistic Society logo The National Autistic Society is here to help the 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. They are dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes to be more autism-friendly. They have volunteer-led branches as well as online peer support. You can also use the service’s online directory to find the answers you are looking for or get support from their dedicated caseworkers and specialists who can support you with specific challenges. 

 

ADHDUK ADHD UK was founded with a mission to help those affected by ADHD – either those that have the condition or people close to them: family, friends, employers, and co-workers. Every person with ADHD is unique and it impacts individuals differently. The aim is to help people navigate their life with ADHD and to reduce the stigma that some attach to those with ADHD.
