Woodland House - A Place of Compassion and Care

Exterior/Entrance of Woodland House

Woodland House is a dedicated, purpose-built space at Birmingham Women’s Hospital for families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss, at any stage of pregnancy and for any reason. Thoughtfully designed to offer a calm, quiet, and non-clinical environment, it provides a safe and private place away from the main hospital setting.

Whether attending an outpatient appointment or spending time during their stay, families are welcomed with compassion and understanding. Woodland House honours every family with sensitivity, offering space for gentle support during such a difficult time.

If you are invited to attend an outpatient appointment, you will be sent the information about how to find us and any passwords you need for parking. Parking is free and directly outside the house. Find out more about Woodland House Access.

Please be aware that there are building works in the Norton Court car park at present, and there will be a further updated version of this when that work is completed.

Guidance on spending time in Woodland House can be found in our Woodland House Booklet.

For any feedback or comments, families are welcome to complete this short survey or contact us directly via 0121 335 8286.
